I have never been a fan of Taiwan TV drama series, or rather TV series in general because I can never keep up with the episodes and storyline. However, after watching a number of episodes of the popular drama "Fated to Love You" when Daphne plays it on her laptop, I'm starting to enjoy watching these dramas.

I started watching one series called "Miss No Good - 不良笑花" which stars Pan Wei Bo (Will) and Yang Chen Ling (Rainie). I decided to watch the first episode as a taster and found it quite hilarious and entertaining. And here's my review after watching 2 episodes of this cute drama.


Miss No Good (coincidentally abbrieviated as MNG) is a comedy and romance story about a stupid, annoying girl called Ah Hua (literally translated as flower) played by Rainie, who has a funny taste in clothes because she dresses up like a Christmas Tree and has ridiculously outrageous curly hair.


Her rich and handsome primary school friend comes back from Japan and decides to date her. After realising that she requires a makeover to match him as an upper-classy type of lady, she begs TV stylist Tang Men (Pan Wei Bo) to help her change her looks. However, he is very mean in his words and insults Ah Hua a lot, and that creates a grudge between the two. And so the story goes on as both of them slowly develops some feelings after the quarrels.

In my opinion, Rainie portrays a chibi anime character very well. Will tries to act cool, but in the end he gets all his script gibberish. This drama is still on-going in Taiwan on CTS Sundays since 7 Sep 2008. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Rainie, but I know that someone is. *jealous*
