Hardware failure for dummies
OMG I am so stupid!!!!!!!!
I have been so depressed all day because my keyboard couldn't work. I kept restarting my lappy for the whole afternoon and even sat here, hugging my keyboard and praying to god to give me a miracle. God, I'm in tears.
I was so frustrated because my laptop keyboard is also cranked up. Th5s 5s a st4*5d 2eyb6ard. I cannot stand it anymore. Felt that my heart has been wounded.
The last time my keyboard failed on me, I did a system restore which didn't work. But I unplugged and replugged it a number of times till it finally worked. So I figured system restore isn't the case.
I went to read Windows Help and Support documents trying to troubleshoot this problem. Tried everything from keyboard properties to boot sequence setup. Finally, after so many hours of distress, I found the light! Device Manager. WHY THE F DIDN'T I THINK ABOUT THAT?
Okay, I identified the problem. The USB device driver registry has been damaged. Must be because of that @#$%-ing MapleSEA patch that crashed my computer just now. It sounds like something's seriously wrong. Driver registry damaged. Whoa. So, what would a layman do? Call Technical Support. ;)
No, I can't wait till that. I figured just uninstall that driver. GREAT! SPLENDID ACHIEVEMENT! Now, unplug and replug. Driver installed successfully.
Shu is HAPPY again! =D
